Cotton Shorts/ Jam Cruise Shorts

The shorts below were made out of some Alexander Henry "Midnight Snack" fabric I found in the scrap bin. There is a small white line which deemed it unusable for production. If you really like the material, it is still available at HaanCrafts.com (junk food). Anywho it's a super simple pattern.

I think they turned out nicely and I'm pretty sure I will be making more of these. Thanks Purlbee!!!

Yep I'm on a roll with this pattern. I made these custom printed shorts for friends and I to enjoy on the boat. I used freezer paper for the stencil. The fabric is a kind of thin poly cotton broadcloth.

Here's to hoping that they last until the big schabang in January!!!

DIY Wedding Gift: Matching Printed Sweatshirts + Quilted Pillow

Feeling good about the latest DIY gift!!!!

I stumbled upon this Pacman + Ghost free pattern download by Aki and loved it.....

After making a fabric banner and yellow accessories for the bachelorette party, there was a little extra material to make the pillow below. The bride-to-be had a quilt made in these same colors to act as the guestbook so I am crossing my fingers they look good together!!!!

Check out what I made on Sunday....

I dyed some of the fabric myself and used fabric scraps for the rest of the front.  Shiva Sticks rock!

Eyelash Pillowcases

I was inspired by the pillowcases below and I thought they would be a great addition to my life; however, I cannot justify hiking to the store and spending $34 on pillowcases. So like many of my fellow D.I.Y. junkies.... I went and I made my own...... here is how I did it.
